The Files
The Operation Babylift Collection contains historical records documenting the evacuation and adoption of children from Vietnam in 1967–1975. These materials—flight manifests, agency correspondence, medical reports, and personal letters—represent deeply personal moments in the lives of adoptees, families, caregivers, and volunteers.

-
Because many documents include personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, birthdates, and adoption details, access to certain records is restricted to protect the privacy of living individuals and families.

-
In compliance with privacy laws and archival ethics standards, Operation Babylift Collection provides only redacted or anonymized copies for public viewing and research use.

-
Verified adoptees and family members may request individualized access through our Adoptee Access & Reconnection Form, while researchers can explore de-identified materials through curated exhibits and digital archives.

-
Our goal is to balance transparency with care—honoring each story, safeguarding personal histories, and ensuring these records are shared responsibly for personal story, education and research.
We appreciate your patience in releasing the material as we strive to adhere to legal and privacy compliance laws.
The Operation Babylift Project is a single person operation that is personally funded with the support of several key individuals.
