Denver, CO – January 8, 2025 – The Center For War Experiences at Regis University will host “Operation Babylift: New Perspectives” throughout February 2025. The exhibit illustrates the multifaceted narrative of Operation Babylift from the Vietnam War and how it has evolved over the past 50 years.

The exhibit marks the beginning of an archival project led by Devaki Murch, a Vietnamese adoptee and survivor of the tragic plane crash that occurred during the operation to bring the children to their adoptive families. In commemorating the event’s 50th anniversary, Murch shares the deeply personal reflections gathered from the Babylift community, offering insights beyond the mainstream media depictions she grew up with.
The exhibit will be open to the public throughout February. A special opening reception will be held at 5:30 PM on Feb. 6 at the Dalton Library at Regis University in Denver.

Following the reception, Sister Mary Nelle Gage will discuss her experiences about her time in Vietnam with Friends For All Children, a Vietnam War-era adoption assistance agency based in Boulder, Colorado. She will also share insights from her ongoing work with the agency’s adoptees over the past 50 years.
